In the monastery grounds, you can take a tour with English or German text with picture called 'Sázava Through the Ages' at the site of a medieval settlement of monastery servants, located close to the St. Procopius cave, which is currently under renovation and therefore not accessible. However, inside the monastery, we will show you photos of both the cave and the entrance rock passage into its interior, as well as the 2024 archaeological discovery of a medieval house above the cave. Inside the monastery, you will also encounter the Gothic chapter hall from the 14th century, where video game creators drew inspiration from its wall paintings for the cloister and some other interior spaces that were later baroqued. You will also see a small room for the abbot, which we call the abbot’s chapel, and today it is also used as a small wedding room. The Paradise Garden in the center of the building is a combination of Gothic style and later Baroque. It also has doorways into other Gothic spaces, which were modernized in later times. Starting this summer, a Gothicthe cellar, which has practically not changed from the visualization in the video game.
